Lunar Eclipse of April 15, 2014

A cold front passed through the region and the skies cleared up in time for this long-anticipated lunar eclipse. I went to bed early and got up shortly before the Moon was completely engulfed in Earth's shadow. It was a spectacular night!

  2. Wonderful image, Rory! Yours is considerably redder than mine. I'm left wondering why and not knowing. The mechanism causing the color is the same.

    1. I enhanced the color a bit. The original image looked paler than I remembered it looking with the naked eye. I also sharpened a little.
